Sundance Music is among the oldest music publisher in Scandinavia, it was founded in Copenhagen in 1983. Sundance Music holds two of the most relevant and interesting music labels of the Nordic countries such as Stunt Records and Sundance Records. As Jazz label leader in Denmark, Stunt Records can claim an amazing and large catalogue, that incudes many releases made by great Jazz international musicians such as George Garzone, Enrico Rava, Jesper Thilo, Jerry Bergonzi, Eddie Gomez and Billy Hart just to name a few. While, from its beginning Sundance Records has dealt mainly with acoustic, vocal, folk, fusion and world music, bringing to the company the attention not only of jazz fanatics. Artists like Big Fat Snake, Ridin' Thumb, The Sharing Patrol, and Innocent Blood are well established and Sundance Records, natural nest for exciting new and up-coming bands. As a matter of fact, Sundance Music Group has discovered and released many young, up-coming jazz talents including Lars Møller, Niclas Knudsen and Magnus Hjorth. Even though Danish electronic, funk and pop music developed on the fringes of the mass music market, several Jazz artists signed with Sundance have gained respectable success, some of them reaching the top of the international charts.
On top of all Stunt Records can claim the finest female singers in Denmark among its artists roster. Charming voices like Sinne Eeg, Malene Mortensen and the brilliant Kira Skov are just few of Stunt Records pride. Sundance Music releases more than 20 full length works every year, offering a suitable catalogue for most demanding and fine tastes.
