Back in 1960 the great promoter of Jazz Norman Granz organized another Jazz At The Philharmonic (JATP) concert tour through Europe with the Oscar Peterson Trio, the Stan Getz Quartet and the Miles Davis Quintet. On April 8, 1960 these giants of Jazz gave a memorable concert at the Kongresshaus in Zurich. This Volume (31) contains the concert of the Miles Davis Quintet. Miles was already a star and John Coltrane the surprise on tenor saxophone. The rhythm section is tight and swinging like hell. Also the recording/sound quality is extraordinary considering the year it was recorded and the fact that it was a live recording down to 2 track.
