Pianist Oliver Kent is born in Innsbruck, Austria, and a professional pianist since 1988 in Vienna (Austria). Between 1993 and 97 he was staying in New York at various occasions where he performed also regularly.
Since 2002 he is professor for Jazzpiano at the Conservatory Vienna and in 2002 he received the Hans Koller Jazzprize 'Sideman of the Year' and again in 2004 for the CD of the year 'Daydream' (Universal Austria).
