- Another Winterrreise? Yes, because this is one of the few definitive performances of Schubert's greatest cycle. Udo Reinemann and Rudolf Jansen have been performing Winterreise all over the world to acclaim. When it became known that we had entered with Udo Reinemann into a long term recording contract, many requests came in asking for a recording of this cycle.

- This is without any doubt the most poignant performance of the cycle to be found on CD.

- The performance is based upon Schubert's autograph manuscript from the Piermont Library in New York, so a great many subtle details have been added to the performances - details which have escaped most modern editions.

- In the beautifully illustrated 32 page booklet an introduction in three languages and full texts plus translations.

- Total timing is 78:48, which also makes it the longest and most detailed performance on CD, completely in accordance with the strong ideas both these distinguished artists have about a performance of the work.

- In terms of recorded sound, this is also one of the best recordings made by Globe, a label that already has an outstanding
international reputation for the quality or its recordings.

Baritone Udo Reinemann, recognized as one of the most distinguished Lieder singers of his generation, has been hailed by German and French critics as one of the few singers who continue the great German tradition of Lieder singing. Rudolf Jansen, who ranks among the top five of international accompanists has been his regular partner for several years, and also performs regularly on the international concert stages with such distinguished artists as Elly Ameling, Tom Krause, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and many others.
