Rianne Jongsma (flute), Wilma Jongsma (oboe) and Arjan Jongsma (marimba) have studied/are studying at the Amsterdam School of the Arts and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Between 2006-2010 they won important awards at the Princess Christina Competition and the National Competition of the Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland. From 2011 they have organized concerts together with Frans Douwe Slot, concert pianist on the provincial and national stages and a teacher at the Ferwerda Academy, academy for young talent in Drachten and Heerenveen.In November 2012 they premiered the composition Colori by Wim van Ligtenberg as the Jongsma Trio & Frans Douwe Slot. A part of this composition, that was dedicated to them, could be seen and heard in the television programme “Vrije Geluiden” of the VPRO in June 2013, which was devoted to Peter Schat. In 2015 the CD Colori miti was produced on the initiative of the Mid-Frisian Libraries/Frisian Music Archives and the ensemble changed its name into Colori Ensemble. The concert repertoire for 2015-2016 comprises works by both Frisian and French composers.
