The Complete Alkan Organ Works, Volume II continues organist Joseph Nolan's survey of the music of Charles-Valentin Alkan (1813–1888), recorded on the Stahlhuth–Jann organ at Eglise Saint-Martin de Dudelange, Luxembourg. The programme presents the thirteen pieces of the 13 Prières, Op. 64, the first six of the 12 Études pour les pieds seulement — works of considerable technical demand written for pedals alone — and the Benedictus, Op. 54.
